Mission Statement
It is the purpose of the Westmont Park District to efficiently and economically provide safe recreation programs, quality and enjoyable leisure experiences and improve the quality of life for individual residents of all ages and the community of Westmont as a whole. Efforts to fulfill our mission will be focused through employee collaboration, sound financial management, the updating of present facilities and playgrounds, a wide range of year round recreation programs and a strong belief in the following values: accountability, enthusiasm, quality, innovation, cooperation and respect.
Recycling
The Westmont Park District is proud to join with other park districts and municipalities nationwide to enhance the recycling movement. It is vitally important that we preserve the natural resources of our planet for ourselves and our children, and it is an obligation of the Westmont Park District to be a leader in that effort. At the Westmont Park District, we recycle office paper, computer paper, newspapers, and miscellaneous cans and bottles in the crusade to reduce waste. Westmont Park District is one of the first park districts in Illinois to plan and install a recycling container in every park and facility in a park system. Recycling bags have been made available with our picnic pack rentals and containers are located at all picnic locations. The Westmont Park District is also striving to incorporate, whenever feasible, purchases of recycled content items so as to "close the recycling loop", and help create additional markets and technologies for reuse of manufactured materials
