Youth Programs
The Westmont Park District has many programs and event that try to reach a large majority of our target demographics. We have many special events such Movies in the Park and Concert in the Park. These events help promote family events and togetherness. At the Westmont Park District we try to provide something for everyone to enjoy.

Westmont Kids Club
New fees for August:

District 60- $90
The Early Bird Kids Club and Westmont Kids Club programs are held each school day at the Westmont Park District. For those Early
Birds, you may drop your child off at the Community Center starting at 7:00AM, and they will be transported to school. Children in the
Westmont Kids Club program will be picked up at school each day and transported to the Community Center, where you may pick them
up anytime before 6:00PM.
This program follows the school calendars of both District 60 and District 201. All children interested in attending from Holmes, Miller,
Manning and Maercker Schools are invited to register today!
Parent meeting will be held Thursday, August 19 from 6:00-7:00PM at the Westmont Community Center. We ask that every
parent be in attendance. Handbooks will be distributed during the meeting.

Dance Programs
The Westmont Park District offers a variety of different dance classes for wide age group of kids. We have dance programs for 3-4 year olds called Creative Movement and classes for 11-13 years old called Hip-Hop. Days of classes usually are Mondays and Saturdays, with the older hip-hop class being on Friday. The participants train for about two month before their big performance at the end of the year dance recital. Each person will get two dances at the concert as well as two recital costumes. Pictures will be available for all who will want this memory to last. We are currently accepting registration for these classes.
The Westmont Park District also offers dance programs for adults. We offer classes that are specific to what the participants wants to learn. We have Ballroom, Latin, Swing, Line and Tap classes. Each class provides the participants the opportunity to learn specific moves in each one of the areas of dance.

Teen Programs
The Westmont Park District teen programs are geared towards those that are in the 6th–8th grade. We accept all of those who are entering 6th, but nobody that is leaving the 8th grade. Teen programs consist of a multitude of trips including paintball, laser tag, bowling and baseball games. Also, special events that are limited to just those individuals that is in Jr. High such as the Flashlight East Egg Hunt, Babysitter Training, and Drop In nights.
Coming up on February 6 we have our first ever Madden 2010 XBox 360 tournament and on February 27 we have the Call of Duty tournament. Listed below is information regarded the Jr. High Springfield Trip that will be for the Winter/Spring session. We still have plenty of spots available so sign up today.
Teen Committee
The Westmont Park District is looking to form a teen committee to help create, develop and promote Jr. High programs to their fellow peers. We are looking for your help for information regards what the teens of Westmont are really looking for in trips and events. Helping on this committee will help yourself gain leadership and responsibility while also having a lot of fun in the process. Summer Camp:
Pre/Post Camp - Ages: 1st-8th grade in the fall
This program is designed to provide supervision for children who need additional care in either before and/or after the normal camp hours. Activities include both quiet games inside and recreational adventures in the gym or at the playground outside. These programs are available to anyone enrolled in our Day Camp or Camp Operation Fun camps. Please note that a late fee of $5 will be charged for every ten minutes after 6 pm.
Summer Day Camp - 1st- 4th graders
Come and explore all while having fun in our active outdoor day camp at Veterans Memorial Park where children are encouraged to expand their personal horizons through cooperative games, swimming, special events, field trips, sports, cook outs, craft activities, and much more. During inclement weather such as extreme heat and/or rain, camp will be held in the Community Center building. Parents will receive a welcome letter approximately one week before the program begins, outlining the daily operations of the camp which includes the behavioral agreement form, the walking and bike riding procedures and the transportation guidelines. If you do not receive a letter one week before camp begins, please call the park district at (630) 963-5252.
To register for the program please complete the registration form and indicate bus route and stop if needed.
Camp Operation Fun - 5th - 8th graders
Are you way too bored sitting at home in the summer while all your friends are out doing great things like cutting lawns, cleaning out the garage or babysitting? If so, then ask your parents to sign you up for Camp Operation Fun and you’ll have an excuse why you don’t have to do all those lame chores. Camp is held at the Community Center and within the boundaries of Veterans Memorial Park. Activities include sports, games, cookouts, weekly field trips, special events, swimming adventures and much more. Parents will receive a welcome letter approximately one week before the program begins, outlining the daily operations of the camp which includes the behavioral agreement form, the walking and bike riding procedures and the transportation guidelines. Summer Fun Camp - Ages 4, 5 & 6 year olds (must be age four by September 1, of program year)
If you are looking for a half-day camp program that operates both two and four days a week, then this is the camp for you! Come and celebrate the best months of the year at Twin Lakes Learning Center, located at 200 West 59th Street. This camp is designed for children ages 4 – 6 years who love listening to stories, singing songs, creating crafts, exploring messy mediums, playground fun, water play, socializing and eating lunch with both new and old friends in a comfortable, nurturing and safe setting. A new theme is offered each session of camp and a new activity is presented each day.
Parents will receive a welcome letter, student information form and an activity schedule in the mail approximately one week before the Summer Fun camp begins.
Children must be fully toilet trained, (pull ups are not acceptable) and for safety purposes, they must be able to communicate their needs in simple English to the staff for safety purposes.
Lunch Time
Please send a sack lunch with your child to camp each day. Cups, napkins and a beverage such as apple juice or lemonade are provided at lunch time and water is always available as needed.
Please note that Twin Lakes Learning Center is a peanut free environment so when choosing foods for your child’s lunch, please be certain that the food items do not contain peanuts or peanut products.
