Preschool for the 2007-2008 session will begin on September 12, 2007 and will end on May 17, 2007. Children must be three or four years old by September 1st of the year they plan to attend each class. All those enrolled in our programs must be fully potty-trained (pull-ups are not acceptable).

(It is imperative that your child understands basic English for safety purposes.)

About Our Program

We offer comprehensive, developmentally appropriate education for three and four year olds in a safe and nurturing setting. Our program meets the standards and practices of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Our building is located in Twin Lakes Park, affording an environment rich in nature and outdoor activity opportunities. The director of the Learning Center has over 10 years experience and holds a degree in Early Childhood Education. Our teachers have, or are currently pursuing a degree in ECE as well.

Class for three year olds will feature hands-on learning techniques designed to promote the socialization and problem-solving skills each child needs for independent growth. Four year olds will enjoy the variety of cognitive games and projects we present while they are building the fine motor skills necessary for a smooth transition to kindergarten. Both groups will follow a comfortable routine, including time for free play, art, music, written expression and outdoor activities each day.  Our goal is to ensure that each child is given every opportunity to experience the wonder of learning.

Open House

Open House is held each September for children and their parents and the Learning Center will be open between 9 am and 12 noon to afford an opportunity for you and your child to meet our staff and observe the classroom before school begins.

Parents are welcome to visit our classroom at 200 W. 59th Street (a half mile west of Cass) to observe before registration begins. We have an open-door policy and encourage parent participation in our program to promote self-esteem for your child.

Registration

Registration and screening is held at Twin Lakes Learning Center.  For further information regarding the program or registration and screening, please call 963-7538.
